Oscar Nomination (and oscar win) is enough to make a simple class B actress rise to the top faster than you can blink. And for Gabourey Sidibe, that is no exception. Being placed in a category up against Oscar Winner and top actress Meryl Streep is a big deal, and by all means, was enough to make her a household name. But of course, Hollywood Politics come into effect, and that old same , same old discrimination starts: If you wanna STAY on top, You HAVE TO BE THIN!!!!Well, clearly the Precious star is anything but that, but when does a person's size affect their acting ability? At the moment, it is reported that roles aren't exactly being giving to her, so does her size have something to do with that? We all know she was excellent as the part of C. Precious Jones but being in Hollywood and the size she is, will she be type-casted as the cliche "big, black girl" if roles do come her way? Can hollywood just give her a chance!?
In an Interview with Oprah, the Star says that she feels secure with herself. It's a great attitude to have, but will Hollywood be as open about her weight as she is? Time will tell.
