Ciara is Snatching Wigs;

    Due to my complete ignoring of everything in the pop culture world for the past week, I've been frighteningly neglectful to you guys. & for that I am sorry, lol. However, I return to the land of the living with two new videos from resident wig-snatchee Ciara, who is turning to the tables and doing some snatching herself. Much pussy-popping will commence, you've been warned.

    The first is a gritty track entitled "You Got Me [Basic Instinct]". Check it out; or if you're at work [or in the library without your headphones] just skip to my review.

"I hate it when they talk about me...BUT I LOVE IT WHEN THEY TALK ABOUT ME!"
"See I was out buying Chanel bags, while I was doing that, you turned up your swag"
"I got a little too prissy, I didn’t expect ya’ll bitches to try to get me"
"See I was on the red carpet, when I shoulda been in the studio laying down hot shit"
"You got me madder than a muhfucker, I can’t lie a bitch is madder than a muhfucker"
"You can go ahead write your blog, I don’t need your feedback"

    She madder than a muhfucker, yall. Needless to say, she went in. But who should be ducking at the shots? After listening to the original version, it's clear who the subject of CiCi's attacks were. Check it out;

"See I was out buying Chanel bags, while I was doing that you turned up your swag | Yup, caught me slippin’, but get your hustle on shawty I ain’t trippin’ | I let ya in the game free, shawty whole album sound just like me Say you weren’t talkin’ bout me, but I know that you was talkin’ bout me!"

    If she aint talkin about Keri Hilson, I'll eat my hat. Besides that though, I guess I like the song. It's listenable. However, I think Ci should leave the rapping alone. Ciara and Brandy are rapping, Lil Kim's using autotune, what's the world coming to? Image and video hosting by TinyPic

    Next up is the video for her first official single "Ride", which features Ludacris. Check it out;

    Well, if she wants to appease detractors who have been saying they want the "old Ciara" back, this was definitely a step in the right direction. The video reminds me of the one for "Promise", what with the somewhat minimalist approach. Ciara pairing with Luda again is reminiscent of "Oh". I like it.
