#NOH8!

The NOH8 Campaign has been thriving for more than a year ,
and its still going strong .
The campaign serves as a wake-up call for equality ,
and is an important landmark in the LGBT rights movement.
On November 4, 2008, Proposition 8 passed in California,
changing the state constitution to ban marriage between same-sex couples.
And so started the NOH8 Campaign.

Armed with a camera and an idea,
celebrity photographer Adam Bouska and his partner Jeff Parshley set out to protest Prop 8 with photographs.
The photos feature the subjects with duct tape over their mouths,
symbolizing their figurative silence, and NOH8 written across one cheek.
After more than a year, the NOH8 Campaign is going stronger than ever,
starting off with everyday people who wanted to help,
and eventually grabbing the attention of politicians, celebrities, and other prominent figures.

Over 2000 faces have been captured so far;
